A team is classed as a routinely admitting team (RAT) if they directly admit 50% or more of their patients AND they directly admit at least 20 patients arriving within 24h of onset (or on same day or next day of onset where onset time is unknown).
Any non-routinely admitting teams or non-acute inpatient teams directly admitted at least 20 patients within 24 hours will be treated as routinely admitting teams in reports.
