A new web data collection tool (webtool) will launch alongside the new dataset in October 2024. Until April 2025 both the current and new webtool will be available for data entry.
On the 1 October, users currently registered as a clinical user and active on the current webtool will be given access to the new webtool. Users will receive an email to the email address they are registered with on the current webtool. The current SSNAP website and webtool will continue to be accessed as now. From 1 October, the new webtool will be accessible via the existing website or via www.new.strokeaudit.org.
What does this mean for data entry and reporting?
- Records for patients with an inpatient clock start before 1 October 2024 should continue to be completed on the current webtool.
- Records for patients with an inpatient clock start from 1 October 2024 should be completed on the new webtool.
- All new records created by community teams should be started on the new webtool, regardless of when the patient had a stroke.
- The deadline for discharges between April and September 2024 (community teams) is the 5 November 2024. After this deadline, any records locked to discharge for this period will not be included in analysis.
- Data for patients admitted before October 2024 but discharged during or after October 2024 will not be included in future analysis. These records can be completed on the current webtool and the decision should be made locally on whether to do this.
The current webtool will close on the 31 March 2025. After this data user access will be removed and all data entry will be through the new webtool.
Flow charts summarising the above information are available on the SSNAP webtool, or: Community teams.
