The CQUIN measures whether or not 55% of patients received a 6 month assessment 4 – 8 months after admission, this is applicable to each participating trust. Previously SSNAP has not reported on 6 month assessments at trust level, but has instead focused on providers. SSNAP will continue to produce the same outputs for 6 month assessment data, but will now produce an additional trust-specific output for the purpose of the CQUIN.
In order to calculate whether a trust has met the CQUIN, SSNAP will provide:
1. A measure for the denominator (i.e. the number of 6 month assessments expected to be completed by the appropriate trust eligible for the CQUIN)
2. A measure for the numerator (i.e. the number of 6 month assessments completed by trusts eligible for the CQUIN each quarter)
3. If the trust has achieved the CQUIN (i.e. whether at least 55% of assessments have been completed in the quarter)
Further information can be found in the document attached.
