At the end of April 2019, ambulance teams will retrospectively enter key pre-hospital timings for records assigned to their ambulance teams for April. This will be ongoing for each subsequent month.
As we prepare to go live, piloting of the webtool has started internally and externally with the help of Ambulance Trusts. Steps have also been taken to ensure linkage between acute teams and ambulance teams. There has been an update to the webtool, for question 1.12.1 ‘other ambulance service’ has been added to the selection options available, this is to ensure that ambulance teams are only assigned the records of patients that they conveyed. Going forward ‘other ambulance service’ should be selected, when the specific ambulance you require does not appear on the list. For example, teams who have previously been advised to submit St Johns Ambulance arrivals under the teams most common Ambulance, should now select ‘other ambulance service’
Additionally, an update has been made to SSNAP’s periodic reporting. To allow you to monitor your Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) completion rates, your Slide Deck and Results Portfolio will now display this information.
Acute teams are a crucial part of making this a success. We ask that you make every effort to assign to the correct ambulance service and enter the correct CAD number.
